Online Poker in North Dakota

The Peace Garden State

Regulated Online Poker North Dakota. North Dakota almost became the first state to regulate online poker in the US. In 2005 a bill was introduced that would regulate online poker in the state. It passed the House of Representatives but not the Senate. The man behind the bill was Republican Jim Kasper and his goal was to protect players and boost state revenues. The main reason for the bill to be turned down was the letter sent by the DOJ to N.D. Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem saying that the proposed bill "could be in violation of federal laws". Today there isn't much news about online poker in North Dakota.
